Hey guys. I figured I'd post here even though the board doesn't get a whole lot of traffic anymore.

Short story is that I've had several people ask me for a cast of the Megamind ball-jointed doll I made, and I'm trying to get it cast by a casting company, since I don't have the facilities to make that many on my own.

So, some of you know that I'm working on brainbots. My first attempt was rushed so that I could have it in time for a comic con and came out... chunky. Lots of rounded edges and rather cartoony. I finally ended up making the one I promised to Filthy_animal and it turned out so much better and truer to the movie.

Okay, finally got around to making the spikes and tested how they work/look on a scrap piece of pleather. Turns out that, not only are the spikes a pain to make so many of, but they don't stay stuck on very well since the base is so small. They are also a little too pointy to be a good idea for a plushie since not all of us are BAMFs like Roxanne ( Read more... )

Oh my gosh you guys, it's been so long since I gave you an update on the DE-guns, but they're finally completed! (I ran into a lot of supply issues; it turned out that many of the parts I'd been using had been discontinued, so I had to scour the internet for replacements. Which took forever. ;n; )
